Anselm Ego Onyimonyi is a Professor of Animal Science at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. He holds a PhD in Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka in 2002. His other educational qualifications include; an MSc in Animal Nutrition and Biochemistry, BAgric (Animal Science), Bachelor of Laws (LLB) and Barrister at Law (BL). He was called to the Bar in 2004 and has all the rights and privileges of a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. His equally an Alumnus of the prestigious Galilee International Management Institute, Israel having obtained a Diploma in Advanced Dairy Technology and Farming Management from the Institute in 2012 and a Certificate in Agribusiness in 2016. Anselm has made meaningful research in alternative low cost feed for monogastrics, leveraging human nutrition through adequate animal protein intake and influence of climate change on animal production. He has over 50 journal articles in reputable local and international Journals to his credit. He has attended and presented papers at conferences and workshops in United States of America. Netherlands, Germany, Israel, Dubai, Italy, Austria, Portugal, Spain, China, Uganda and Kenya. He has served in several University committees, a former Associate Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture and Head of the Department of Animal Science. He is the incumbent President of the Senior Staff Club of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. His married to Mary Uju Onyimonyi and they are blessed with children.
