Lou is the Director of Community Engagement for Trellis, the new communication and collaboration plaform being built and operated by AAAS. She's also Program Director for the AAAS Community Engagement Fellows Program, which launched in January 2017. The aim of the program is to train and support scientific community managers.

Lou sits at the intersection of people, science and technology with a particular interest in bringing together people for Open Science and science communication projects. Her skills span community engagement, content development, project management, business strategy and more.
