Patricia Arriaga is Graduated in Psychology (5 years, 1996, Area of Clinical Psychology) by ISPA, has a Master Degree in Clinical Psychology and Psychopathology by ISPA (Pre-Bolonha, 3 years, 2000), and a Ph.D. in Social and Organizational Psychology by ISCTE (Pre-Bologna, 2006). She is certified as Specialist by the Portuguese Professional Association of Psychologists (Ordem dos Psicologos Portuguesa, OPP) in the areas of "Clinical and Health Psychology", "Work, Social and Organizational Psychology" and "Neuropsychology". She has started teaching in higher education in 1996, was a Fellow of the Portuguese Foundation of Science and Technology (FCT) in Post-Doctoral Studies (2008-2009) and received a contract as an Assistant Researcher (2009-2012) of CIS-IUL, under the Science 2008 Program, supported by the FCT. Currently, she is an Assistant Professor at ISCTE-IUL and the Director of the Master course in Science on Emotions. Her research focus is on emotions, which include the assessment of subjective, behavioral, and physiological responses, applied to several topics in social and health psychology. She has been involved in several research projects with external funding and more recently is involved in projects related to the study of Human-Robot Interaction (HRI) and the development of tools (e.g., games) to promote health and well-being.
