Roopika Risam is Assistant Professor of English and Faculty Fellow for Digital Library Initiatives at Salem State University. Her book New Digital Worlds: Postcolonial Digital Humanities in Theory, Praxis, and Pedagogy will be published by Northwestern University Press in November 2018. Risam’s digital humanities projects include The Harlem Shadows Project, Social Justice and Digital Humanities, and Visualizing the Global Du Bois. She also is co-director of Renimate, an intersectional feminist publishing collective. Her work has appeared in Debates in the Digital Humanities, Digital Humanities Quarterly, Digital Scholarship in the Humanities, Left History, and Popular Communications, among others.
