15 years experience developing, launching, and marketing online products including B2C and enterprise solutions for K-12, higher education, and scholarly publishing industries. Tara is the Director of Product and Business Development at Public Library of Science (PLOS), an open access publisher of science journals and advocacy organization for open science. Prior to that, at HighWire Press, Tara held the position of VP, Product Strategy and Marketing where she was responsible for driving product direction, developing strategic partner relationships, and analyzing the scholarly publishing market. Prior to HighWire, Tara held product leadership positions at IXL Learning, MindFlash, and Oracle. At IXL Learning, Tara launched three educational technology products, including the market-leading K-12 math learning site IXL.com and Quia Books, a higher-ed online course platform developed in partnership with leading textbook publishers.
