I am a philosopher and social researcher with experience in the areas of critical theory, visual culture, design, labor, and technology. My latest work explores the history of DIY forms of making and current maker communities as a source of innovation. I am interested in the way their collaborative forms of production and discourses intersect with race, gender, culture, and neoliberalism.

I am a PhD student in the Communication and Science Studies program at the University of California San Diego. I hold an MA in Design Studies from Parsons the School of Design.

I also manage  The Instructions Archive; a virtual collection of instructions, manuals, and protocols.
